ABOUT THE ARTIST

Fifteen years ago my husband and I moved to the Western North Carolina mountains. My dream was to learn quilting and what better place to pursue my dream. Not being able to find classes I taught myself from the books I got at the local library. Much to my surprise my first quilt was featured in a national magazine. My favorite quilting medium is applique. I only do hand quilting and applique. It is very relaxing to me. Machine quilting is "work"

I have won several ribbons in shows and my work is displayed in several galleries and shops including the juried display in Stecoah.

I enjoy doing landscapes, wall hangings and traditional bed quilts. I also restore old quilts.
