FRANKLIN, NORTH CAROLINA

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Joe Hall and his wife, Nancy, retired to Franklin, NC in 1999, after several vacations over the years to this area.

Joe began his woodworking as a hobby after moving to Franklin. He makes lamps and candlesticks from Red Cedar that he turns on a wood lathe. Each one is unique due to the nature of the wood and all the pieces are hand-turned and finished. He obtains the cedar locally from friends and folks who allow him access to their property. Anyone that would like to have their cedar trees removed from their property are more than welcome to call him.

Joe also makes quilt racks ( free-standing and hanging), kitchen/step stools, eight-piece seasonal WELCOME signs and toy chests/boot benches. Nancy paints, decorates or stains the items. She can decorate or stain your item according to your taste or preference.

Joe is constantly adding more to his repertoire. He will be turning bowls and other items from Black Walnut soon.
