ABOUT THE
ARTIST
Our soap is an outgrowth of my need
for specific types of soap that could not be found in
our area.
I do not use animal by-products or
synthetic oils. I do use olive oil, coconut oil,
and palm oil. Each of these oils lends a distinct
quality to our soaps. Olive oil is used for
mildness and the ability to soften the skin. The
coconut oil gives it a rich lather, and the palm oil
makes it a hard, long lasting bar of soap.
Franklin Farm Soaps are better than
commercially produced soap because the glycerin is left
in. Glycerin is a natural by product of soap, but
it is removed during the high heat processing that
commercial manufacturers use.
A great deal of research goes into
choosing the ingredients for my products. Each
product is tested by myself, my family, and my friends
before it is offered to the public.
My soaps are simple and tasteful.
They are poured into oak frames, cut and trimmed by
hand. Even the wrappers lend a simple elegance.
The hand cutting produces a slight irregularity that
adds to the handcrafted beauty.
I hope you will enjoy using my
herbal soaps as much as I enjoy making them.
