This was a very strenuous hike. 10.8 Miles roundtrip because we must return the same way we arrived. The trail basically goes up. There are a few level sections on the A.T. ridgeline, but not enough for any real relief.
Having said that, this is one of the most satisfying & enjoyable hikes I have ever been on. Yes it was cold, yes the wind almost blew us off the summit, yes the snow was slippery, yes I am absolutely worn out............. But WHAT A VIEW! I could have stayed here for days, but we had to leave because it started snowing again. |
